#Syria : Pillay says chemical weapons allegations “exceptionally grave” – investigation essential
UN #HumanRights chief Navi Pillay urges Government and opposition forces to enable #UNSG’s team to examine the site of the alleged attacks without any delay or obfuscation. Whether or not chemical weapons were used, it seems that once again many civilians have been killed in flagrant contravention of international law. Thousands of injured people are in desperate need of medical care and #humanitarian aid. “Halt the fighting immediately and allow access to humanitarian aid and essential medical supplies, in order to prevent more needless deaths,” says UN rights chief Navi Pillay.
