“The Legality of the Airstrikes on Syria under International Law” by @arenda https://t.co/e4KHKtU1mE
— Opinio Juris (@opiniojuris) 8. April 2017
@julianku @opiniojuris @politico It was not legal under international law. US was not attacked or in imminent danger. UN had not even considered action. This was premature.

In this Syria ticktock, there is no reference to getting a legal opinion before deciding to strike Syria. https://t.co/TIf5PIw9Oy

My latest: Almost Everyone Agrees that the U.S. Strikes Against Syria are Illegal, Except for Most Governments This survey is not comprehensive and some large players, like India, have yet to weigh in. But it seems only Russia and Iran have condemned the strikes vigorously. The general support for the attacks in Europe, the Middle East, along withChina’s acquiescence, seems to show that many states are not very troubled by the violation of Article 2(4) most scholars think has occurred here. Is this because it is a one-off attack? Or does it suggest Article 2(4) has very little pull with many foreign governments these days? https://t.co/h6pQzRd08c— Julian Ku 古舉倫 (@julianku) 7. April 2017
