Partizipation und Solidarität innerhalb einer Gesellschaft ist eines jeden Bürgers/einer jeder Bürgerin Pflicht und als Vertretung einer religiösen Minderheit ist mir dies ein besonders wichtiges Anliegen. Insbesondere wenn es um den Schutz der Schwächsten unserer Gesellschaft geht und dies sind, in meinen Augen, Menschen, die ihr Zuhause verlassen mussten und aus ihrer Heimat fliehen.
Wenn ein Mensch, sein Heimatland verlässt und dort all seine lieben Menschen zurücklässt, ist das schmerzlich und tragisch genug, denn er tut dies in Not.
In diesem Sinne appelliere ich an alle Verantwortlichen:
Flüchtlingen Zugang zu Bildung und sozialen Mindestrechten zu ermöglichen, sich dafür einzusetzen, dass Flüchtlinge ihre Schutzrechte vor Gericht effektiv einklagen können, sich dafür einzusetzen, dass Personen und Organisationen, die sich aus humanitären Gründen um Flüchtlingen kümmern, frei arbeiten können, dass sie Flüchtlingen die Möglichkeit eines legalen Aufenthalts geben.
Ich appelliere an alle Muslime, dass sie Flüchtlingen helfen, wo es möglich ist. Wir dürfen dabei nicht vergessen, dass die ersten Muslime auch Flüchtlinge waren.
Es gibt im Leben nicht schöneres als den notleidenden Menschen zu helfen und sie glücklich zu sehen. (Foto von dpa)

Flüchtlingsproblem in Ungarn. Hunderte Menschen aus Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syrien, Irak oder Bangladesch nächtigen in der Unterführung zum Budapester Ostbahnhof. Fast alle haben in Ungarn einen Asylantrag gestellt. Sie wollen ihr Asylverfahren aber nicht abwarten, sondern weiter nach Frankreich, Deutschland od. Österreich reisen. Die ungarischen Behörden kümmern sich nicht um sie. Versorgt werden die Flüchtlinge von Zivilorganisationen oder Privatpersonen. Die Flüchtlinge hoffen auf Hilfe, bleiben aber sich selbst überlassen.

Als wir zum ersten Mal die Liste der Initiativen zur Unterstützung von Flüchtlingen online gestellt haben, waren es ca. 60 nach zehn Tagen sind es bereits über 80 und wir sind überzeugt, dass wir noch lange nicht alle erfasst haben. Wohlgemerkt in dieser Lste sind nicht alle jene Mitgliedvereine der asylkoordination und anderen NGOs erfasst, die ohnehin regelmäßig für Flüchtlinge arbeiten.

Viele fühlen sich ohnmächtig, wissen nicht wie sie am besten helfen können, sind so wie ich schockiert angesichts obdachloser Kinder und Erwachsener in Traiskirchen, die bei Wind und Regen einen Karton und 2 Decken in die Hand gedrückt bekommen… Aber ich bin mir sicher, auch wenn es die verantwortlichen PolitikerInnen nicht hinbekommen oder nicht hinbekommen wollen:
Gemeinsam schaffen wir das! Wir suchen dringend Wohnraum für Flüchtlinge! Vielleicht kennt ihr jemanden, der/die wen kennt, der/die wen kennt, der eine kleine Wohnung oder Wohnraum zur Verfügung stellen kann… Oder du bist es vielleicht sogar selbst!

Verurteilung des Vandalenakt gegen die jüdische Fahne auf dem Campus der Religionen
Bestürzt und betroffen verurteilt die Islamische Glaubensgemeinschaft (IGGiÖ) den Vandalenakt gegen die Fahne mit jüdischem Symbol auf dem Campus der Religionen in der Wiener Seestadt Aspern*.
Erst am 19. Juni 2015 wurde mit der Errichtung von Fahnen der beteiligten Religionsgemeinschaften das Projekt „Campus der Religionen“ in der Wiener Seestadt Aspern für die Öffentlichkeit sichtbar gemacht. Damit wird mehr als nur ein Zeichen von Religionen für ein friedliches und respektvolles Miteinander gesetzt. Hier geht es um konkrete Zusammenarbeit, wie sie schon jetzt stattfindet und in Zukunft gerade angesichts gemeinsamer gesellschaftlicher Herausforderungen wie aktuell der Flüchtlingsthematik noch steigendes Gewicht erhalten wird.
Gemeinsam können Religionsgemeinschaften besonders wirkungsvoll Tendenzen von Ausgrenzung und Hass gegen Minderheiten begegnen.

* Im Norden von der Marchegger Ostbahn, die seit 1870 die (derzeit stündlich bediente) Verbindung zwischen Wien und Bratislava bildet und lange Zeit vom legendären Orientexpress benützt wurde. Die hier angelegte Verkehrsstation Wien Aspern Nord bietet seit Oktober 2013 U-Bahn-Verkehr (Linie U2) ins Zentrum Wiens und ab 2017 S-Bahn-Verkehr der ÖBB (Linie S80) zum Wiener Hauptbahnhof sowie Regionalzüge. Das Areal nordöstlich des historischen Dorfes Aspern im Marchfeld wurde nach einem künstlichen See in der Mitte des Entwicklungsgebiets benannt.
Auf dem ehemaligen Flugfeld Aspern, Wiens Flugplatz der Zwischenkriegszeit, sollen bis zum Jahr 2028 rund 240 Hektar verbaut werden.
