Im Erstaufnahmezentrum Traiskirchen gilt neuerdings ein Aufnahmestopp. Neuankommende Asylwerber sollen sich selbst ein Quartier suchen. Nur minderjährige werden in Traiskirchen noch aufgenommen. Obdachlosigkeit ist die Folge für manche. Kirchen und Moschee springen ein und nehmen einen Teil der betroffenen Asylwerber auf.

It has been 5 years – on 22 August there were still political prisoners in jail in a country with a death sentence in its penal code.
Is the release of those six persons a message from Lukashenko that “I am ready for changes”, as many experts would like to claim? Doubtful. Belarus is currently negotiating credits for 3.5 billion USD from the IMF and 3 billion USD from the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (former EURASEC Anti-Crisis Fund) – a structure dependant on the Kremlin.
There is evidence to suggest that in the upcoming elections Lukashenko may count on both the victory and legalisation of his regime. For the first time – with the opposition so weak – the scale of rigging results will be small enough to be approved by international authorities such as OSCE, making the voting officially democratic. This way the end of the “last dictatorship of Europe” will come. But with a total lack of democratisation.

Der 21. September war im Iran der Beginn des neuen Schuljahres, Präsident Rouhani stand kurz vor seiner Abreise nach New York, als alle Vorstandsmitglieder der Lehrergewerkschaft, die sich noch in Freiheit befanden, verhaftet wurden. Auch wurden die Gefängnisstrafen von zwei bereits verurteilten Vorstandsmitgliedern erhöht. In diesem Jahr stehen zwei wichtige Wahlen an – je näher sie kommen, umso aktiver werden diverse Geheimdienste. Für sie habe der Wahlkampf eigentlich bereits begonnen, schreiben viele Blogger und die seriöse Webseite Rooz.
Innerhalb von fünf Tagen meldeten Menschenrechtsaktivisten Dutzende Festnahmen aus verschiedenen Teilen des Landes, so die Webseite. Rooz spricht von einer Welle, die bereits rollt.

France Opens Investigation into Torture in Syria
New York, NY – 10/01/2015
Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) today welcomed an announcement that France has opened the world’s first criminal inquiry into torture in Syria.
“After more than four years of well-documented cases of torture and enforced disappearance in Syria, we welcome the French government’s decision to investigate these abuses,” said Stefan Schmitt, PHR’s director of the International Forensic Program. „Based on a preliminary analysis of the photographic evidence, we know it is possible to identify specific injuries caused by torture as well as infer the cause of death in some cases. We hope this is just the first of many actions that will lead to justice for the victims and accountability for those responsible for these crimes.“

Viktor Orbán nutzt das, um der Welt zu erklären, dass die Welt schon deshalb handlungsunfähig sei, weil sie nicht verstehe, mit was sie es hier zu tun habe: Einer Flüchtlingskrise jedenfalls nicht, behauptet er. Vielmehr handele es sich um eine Massenmigrationsbewegung, bestehend aus Wirtschaftsmigranten, Flüchtlingen aber auch ausländischen Kämpfern. Ein unkontrollierter Prozess sei das alles.

In den ORF-Radios (zumindest auf Radio Wien und Radio NÖ) läuft derzeit stündlich in den Nachrichten in etwa folgende Geschichte „Der ORF hat exklusiv ein Geheimpapier aus dem Innenministerium zugespielt bekommen, laut dem die Versorgung von Asylwerbern viel teurer wird als bisher erwartet. Sie wird in den nächsten 4 Jahren ca. 12 Mrd. € kosten, davon ca. 6 Mrd. € für die Versorgung von nachziehenden Familien.“
