Wir wünschen euch allen ein ganz tolles neues Jahr.
Der negativen Stimmung, die von manchen PolitikerInnen in Österreich und anderen EU-Staaten geschürt wird, werden wir gemeinsam in diesem neuen Jahr verstärkt entgegen treten müssen. Wir von der asylkoordination werden uns neben unserer laufenden Arbeit vermehrt darum bemühen, ehrenamtliche HelferInnen und Initiativen zu unterstützen.
In Wien arbeiten wir mit der MA 17 zusammen, für die unsere Kollegin Anny Knapp Workshops zu den rechtlichen Grundlagen des österreichischen Asylwesens abhält.
Wir bieten auch gemeinsam mit den Organisationsberatern von „Vielfarben“ Unterstützung für Initiativen an, die nach dem ersten Drive eine Neuorientierung suchen um die „mühen der Ebene“ zu schaffen.

I rarely if ever comment or disagree with pronouncements or public statements of other rabbis. These are people who are driven to publicity and even sensationalism and I never feel inclined to spoil their fun. Heartbreaking to see these kids wait at a police station in China hoping to see their daddy on January 4. They didn’t get to see their detained human rights lawyer daddy that day. Haven’t seen them for nearly half a year… Generations of Chinese have had to suffer from human rights abuses under the Communist dictatorship. Why does this generation have to suffer as well?!
