Lieber Helferinnen und Helfer, wir waren heute den ganzen Tag in Spielfeld, wir haben viele Paletten gespendete Schuhe, Hosen und Jacken vom Westbahnhof und aus Traiskirchen nach Spielfeld gebracht.
ES WAR UNVORSTELLBAR. Wir haben abwechselnd geheult und uns gefreut, manchmal sogar im gleichen Augenblick. So viel Not, und dazwischen so viel Hilfe, so viel Freiwillige, die uns unterstützen. Wichtig: Privatpersonen werden nicht mehr durchgelassen, wer jedoch Waren spenden möchte: Die Caritas ist mit einer Sachspendenausgabe Tag und Nacht vor Ort und gibt DRINGEND benötigte Schuhe, Hosen, Decken, Jacken, Hauben, Handschuhe aus. Das heißt: Eure Hilfe kommt an!! Und sie ist so wichtig!! Vor der Sachspendenausgabe steht ständig eine lange Schlange an Menschen, die auf Sachen warten. Kinder, die frieren, ältere Menschen die keine Jacke haben. Es gibt eine Privatinitative, die draußen kocht, wir posten ein Foto mit Infos mit, vielleicht könnt Ihr auch dafür Lebensmittel spenden?
Das schwierigste für die Menschen ist das lange, lange Warten in der Kälte. Wir sind um 21 Uhr weg gefahren, tausende saßen am Boden, in der Kälte, auch kleine Kinder, Familien, und alle haben gewartet, bis eine Weiterfahrt möglich ist.

Bitte bringt gut erhaltene warme Kleidung und Schuhe bitte ins Carla in Graz, Herrgottwiesgasse119.
Auch von Wien aus wird es weiterhin Transporte nach Spielfeld geben. AUFRUF folgt.

UN-Bericht sorgt im Iran für Unmut
In seinem jüngsten Bericht für die Vereinten Nationen hat Ahmad Shaheed die Menschenrechtsverletzungen im Iran scharf kritisiert.
Doch der maledivische Menschenrechtsexperte soll auch positive Signale aus dem Iran vernommen haben. Im vergangenen Monat habe er sich in Genf zum ersten Mal mit Vertretern der iranischen Justiz und der Sicherheitsorgane getroffen, so Shaheed. Worüber sie gesprochen haben, wurde nicht bekannt. (fp)

Das Klimabündnis Österreich bietet dazu einen interessanten Lehrgang, der am 9. März 2016 startet. Wir bilden BürgermeisterInnen, Gemeinde- und StadträtInnen, MitarbeiterInnen der Verwaltung, KEM-ManagerInnen und regional engagierte Personen zu „Urbanen Klimaschutzbeauftragten“ aus. Mein Sonntag in Spielfeld
Vom Westbahnhof über Traiskirchen haben wir uns mit einem LKW vollgepackt mit warmer Kleidung und Schuhen heute Vormittag Richtung Spielfeld aufgemacht. Nach einem Stop im Transitquartier Webling ging es dann gemeinsam mit Edith Franziska Pfeiffer, Betty Martin und Thomas Wochele Richtung Grenze. Dort wird unter herausfordernden Bedingungen versucht zu helfen, wo Hilfe dringend gebraucht wird. Die Frauen, Männer und Kinder auf der Flucht kommen zum Teil völlig durchgefroren und erschöpft an. Freiwillige verteilen Suppe und warme Mahlzeiten, die Caritas verteilt saubere, warme Kleidung und unterstützt mit Dolmetschern, das Rote Kreuz kümmert sich um die medizinische Versorgung und Polizei und Bundesheer organisieren die Ankunft und den Weitertransport. Am Abend als wir aufbrechen zieht Rauch von Slowenien herüber. Überall sind dort Feuer zu sehen, wo sich die Menschen auf der Flucht versuchen zu wärmen. Denn die Nächte sind schon bitterkalt. Mit vielen Eindrücken treten wir die Heimreise nach Wien an und mit einem großen Dank an die Helferinnen und Helfer, die dort Tag für Tag und Nacht für Nacht großartiges leisten. Es sind Menschen, die da kommen. Und es sind Menschen, die da helfen. Die Gesichter, der frierenden, wartenden Frauen, Männer und Kinder im Grenzbereich werde ich vermutlich nie mehr vergessen. Für jedes nette Wort, für jede nette noch so kleine Geste sind sie unendlich dankbar.
