The EU should be banning the supply of any equipment to the military. We could be looking at other factors such as banning European companies from doing business and investing in companies and joint ventures in companies owned by the military.
What about those young guys?
Some young people couldn’t go to university because of restrictions on studies. Some young boys could not get permission to marry for two to three years; some young boys’ mothers had been killed by the Burmese military; some had land that had been confiscated by the military. These groups have all been together and that is what they are trying to fight with the military.
Ms Ghani: You mentioned Germany and Austria. Are you aware of any forthcoming visits to European countries that might be taking place?
Tun Khin: We have seen practically a few months ago.
Mark Farmaner: We are not aware of any other. Normally, the first we hear about it is when he puts it on his Facebook page that he is at the airport about to leave.

Qualtinger war u. a.

Well, the support available differs between those deported and those who, with reservation, returned voluntarily. AMASO is the only organisation that directly interacts with returnees and stays in touch with them over time. According to our experience and expertise Afghanistan is not ready for a high number of returnees, or phrasing it differently, it does not make any sense to deport people to Afghanistan right now. It is a loss on both sites. The European countries spent a lot of money to return people while people re-migrate again. This is going to continue till Afghanistan is safe and secure. We should work on voluntary return. Let everyone who has access to network, resources and protection return. But do not force people to go back to Afghanistan, because if they are not able to survive here they will leave the country again and risk their life on the same dangerous journey for a second or third time.
It is feasible for returnees who have reached or can reach their families and network. They have a place to stay and receive the necessary support especially during the first period. But some of the recent returnees, returned following the Joint Way Forward deal, have never been to Afghanistan before, this is the group of refugees born and raised in exiles as in Norway or Sweden.

Most of the foreign-born Burmese population in Fort Wayne speak a different language and practice different religions than the Rohingya, and the ethnic tensions and religious persecution that fueled their flight from Myanmar don’t necessarily end once they arrive here.
“Why I don’t like Rohingya to come to Fort Wayne is … most of them, almost 100 percent, are Muslims,” said Burmese Chin community leader Abraham Thang, who moved to Fort Wayne in the 1990s.
